Most intelligent species will gain the ability to preserve their consciousness in immortal from in some type of mechanical replacement for the biotic bodies and will elect to use them. Fermi, who believed in the plurality of worlds, famously asked (regarding ETs) ‘where is everybody at’? If, after achieving the non-time-space barriers there is no telling how these beings could be communicating.

(Fyi, you probably know that Diaspora capitalized and esp The Diaspora always refer to the forced exodus of Jews from Israel and into the Babylonian Captivity.) They have had other, lesser diasporas including the displacements in WWII. Anyhoo, I just read the Diaspora plot summary and the intro and it is spot on for what i stated that i anticipate. There is an attachment to the corporeal that the fleshers do not want to relinquish that i identify with despite my severe pain and disabilities. I am definitely adding it to my to read list. Thanks again!
