Electric cars and solar power could freeze fossil fuel growth by 2020
“Fossil fuels could officially be a thing of the past as early as 2020, according to a new report. The report shows the declining costs of electric vehicles and solar energy could put a stop to the growth in worldwide demand for oil and coal in less than three years time.
According to the Guardian, a report by the Grantham Institute at Imperial College London and the Carbon Tracker Initiative entitled “Expect the Unexpected: The disruptive power of low-carbon technology,” polluting fuels could lost 10 percent of their market share to solar power and “clean cars” within a decade.
To put it in perspective, a 10 percent market share loss was enough to cause the recent collapse in the U.S. coal industry, while the five major utilities in Europe collectively lost about $100 billion between 2008 and 2013 because they didn’t ready themselves for the 8 percent growth in renewable energy…”

but silicon and iron solar panels needs changing every 5 to 10 years isn’t it? unless you’re saying 80%cadmium and 20%iron. high energy conversion rate, no need to change as it won’t degrade. cadmium and iron is better. not toxic too.
Lim An Rui So do it then. Prove it to us.
Well its easier to give the solar panels manufacturer directions than make all the machines again myself. Wasim Muklashy and i am giving free knowledge. Not charging a cent for intellectual property. Theres always a charge for any work for now.
Clean coal let’s not forget the coal miners like Hillary did
Frank Marshall If anyone is forgetting the coal miners it’s Donald Trump and the fossil fuel advocates in order to spend a few more years lining their own pockets. It is clear the trends towards renewables is past the point of unstoppable as they’re now not only cheaper, but creating more jobs than fossil fuels. Hell, even Saudi Arabia of all places is building one of the world’s largest solar farms. If you really don’t want to forget the coal miners, you train them in new jobs in solar and wind and hydrothermal, not by trying to milk a dry and raw nipple. That’ll ensure they have work for generations to come and they will be employable in all 50 states and around the world, and furthermore, gives them opportunities to create businesses in future industries that are becoming increasingly relevant all around the world, not just an area of a few hundred square miles. This is 2017. Not 1917. And don’t kid yourself, there is no such thing as ‘clean’ coal.
