I think they got some wires crossed because I can’t imagine how they could possibly be happy when I’m fully able and I’m not.
Blake Crawford, your ability is not directly proportional to your happiness. A lot of it is how you view the world and the attitude you adopt.

There is no way a permanent vegetable is Happy with their complete lack of a life.

Blake Crawford, there is too a way that they can be happy. I don’t doubt that being blocked off from everything would be hard, maybe even despair-inducing, but just imagine how joyous it would be to be able to communicate with your friends and family again after all that time, even if it’s through simple yes/no answers.
And they aren’t vegetables! Vegetables have lost their ability to mentally process things. These people are just trapped.
Blake Crawford Please refrain from infusing demeaning and derogatory descriptives like ‘liberal bullshit’ and ‘vegetable’ in my collection. That is very disrespectful and does nothing but weaken any substantive argument you try to make afterwards.
I concur. Thank you for sharing this, Wasim Muklashy.
