Sean O’Connor i changed my battery pack for 2k after 150,000 miles. and it could have gone much longer than that, I only did it because I was considering selling the car. And furthermore, I saved much more than that from gas costs over the 8 years, and if I was feeding excess energy back into the grid, I’d have saved even more. Factor in the 33% increase in battery efficiency over the past 5 years and the estimated 50% increase in efficiency over the next 5 as Tesla’s gigafactories go online, and, well, you’re wrong. We’re looking at the future here, not the past.
