China’s “Artificial Sun” Is Now Hot Enough for Nuclear Fusion
“Things are heating up in China.
On Tuesday, a team from China’s Hefei Institutes of Physical Science announced that its Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) reactor — an “artificial sun” designed to replicate the process our natural Sun uses to generate energy — just hit a new temperature milestone: 100 million degrees Celsius (180 million degrees Fahrenheit)…”

copying the nature is a tough job indeed!
Somewhere in the U.S. Tokamaks (the kind of fusion reactor discussed here) put out little visible light and nothing like this photo which has been doctored for dramatic effect.
Possibly you’re confusing this with an unrelated Chinese project to orbit a large reflector to illuminate a town at night?
“Chunfeng told China Daily that the satellite, launching from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center, will orbit about 300 miles (500 kilometers) above the city and use its mirror-like coating to reflect sunlight down to Earth.”

What encases it, why doesn’t it melt?
Stuart Wray The hot plasma is contained by a powerful magnetic field that keeps it from coming in contact with the reactor walls.
wow
Amazing!
Wish we had the same thing in New York we need to get smarter than this
human is human
who created makes human
can you tell me
