Electric Vehicle Sales Are up 45% Over the Last Year
“Electric vehicles (EVs) are fast outgrowing their reputation as a niche market, according to InsideEVs’ recent report of EV and hybrid car sales in the United States.Click to View Full Infographic
The most notable data from the report is the 45 percent increase in EV sales from July 2016 to June 2017 compared to the prior 12-month period. Offerings from a variety of manufacturers contributed to the increased sales figures…”

]]>Stupidity of people is up 45%
]]>Some people don’t like change.
]]>Hybrids are a joke. A skyactive mazda can acheive comparable fuel economy with more performance without the extremely toxic huge battery, or wildly complicated operations.
I support a transition from gasoline engines but hydrogen is the clear choice. Its volatility keeps it from being developed more.
]]>Distortionfile It’s not it’s volatility. Hydrogen is the least dense of all elements. This is bad when you look at it as an energy source. Energy density of hydrogen is poor at best. This is why so much energy and effort has to be expended on compression and refrigeration. There is far more profit in pumping hydrocarbons out of the earth.
Thankfully, the impact of hydrocarbon consumption on the environment has been somewhat exaggerated. It is not a free pass, though. We must find alternative and cleaner energy sources. It is only a matter of time before the climate change fiction becomes a reality. This will be the century of change. Battery powered cars are not the answer, but they are a stepping stone toward efficient electrical based propulsion. Once fuel cell style electricity generation catches up, the electric drivelines should be well suited to them.
]]>What happens when a hydrogen powered car is involved in a bad accident? I wouldn’t want to be within half a mile of that.
]]>Distortionfile why is hydrogen good? You do know that 50% of the original energy is wasted when converting from electricity to hydrogen and back using elecrolysis and fuel cells? This means you need almost twize as much electricity generation to power a hydrogen fleet of cars vs a battery powered fleet. Twize as many powerplants seems like a stupid idea.
