The Bottom Line: Is a UBI System Economically Feasible?
“Much has been said, both in favor of and against, universal basic income (UBI). Those who don’t agree with the system dismiss it as a socialist idea. Those who are in favor see it as a chance to reform social welfare programs and a viable solution to the problem of job displacement due to automation and digitization. What is clear, though, is that a UBI program would present a significant change in public policy.”

Is having the consumer based economy collapse feasible? The resulting civil unrest? In a society that is armed to the teeth. Most of the money in circulation is unwarranted anyway. It’s based on unrealistic corporate salaries and unearned bonuses. It is based on the sale of Bond’s to cover running the printing presses. The house of card’s gets bigger and bigger. Automation will cause the phoney mess to fall. If they don’t implement a Ubi scheme it will happen that much faster.
